Spring 2012

A very Happy Easter to all and a special hello to all the young musicians who are taking part in the various youth orchestra, wind orchestra and brass band courses over the holidays.

It was a real pleasure for me to see many local young musicians at the Cheshire Schools Music Competition which was held at the RNCM in February - I was judging the event and thoroughly enjoyed the programmes offered by the various groups. Congratuations to everyone!

I had a great time in Paris in March working with Mika at Les Victoires de la Musique 2012 Awards ceremony which was broadcast live on French TV - a very exciting occasion!

I am looking forward to the summer term at the RNCM where we have a full programme of events including the Percussion Ensemble Concert on Thursday 10th May (1.15pm) which will feature a concert of music by British composers.
