A big hello to all 400 members of the Eston EAZ Samba Extravaganza who gave a rousing finale to this years project at the magnificent Riverside Stadium in Middlesboro. Always a great day and a real pleasure to work with Kel Dennis and all the children involved.
This month I am travelling backwards and forwards to Kerkrade where I am on the jury for the percussion ensemble competition and also appearing as guest soloist in the gala concert on the 28th. I am really looking forward to this and to hearing some large percussion ensembles from around the world competing together.
I am also looking forward to working with my old friends The National Youth Brass Band of Wales under their director Bob Childs. It is always a joy to work with this very talented and committed ensemble who have so much fun along the way as well!
