News, snippets and gig updates from Simone!

September 2004
Welcome to this months newsletter and I hope everyone is enjoying the great Indian Summer!

A big hello to all who were at the Yamaha Expo in Milton Keynes where I was playing with BackBeat. It was a great day and we really enjoyed meeting all the artists who were also appearing on the main stage. Yamaha has some great new percussion instruments being launched at the moment so if you are looking to buy some new percussion check out what there is!!

I am looking forward to working with Chris Bastock from BackBeat at an ISM conference at St. Josephs College in Stoke on Trent on Sunday 12th September. Chris and I often work together on workshops and educational projects so this rhythm should be fun! BackBeat's season has started in earnest and we have a busy few weeks ahead including an educational project around Sefton schools and a run of concerts for Cheshire Rural Rts Touring Network. Check out my dates page for details.

I am busy practising away for my forthcoming solo concerts including a trip to Belgium to play with Ensemble Kreato in October which should be very exciting.

Best wishes to all and I hope to see you at one of my next concerts - do come along and say hi after the concert!
