Welcome to this months news letter and I hope that everyone is enjoying a great summer.

A big hello to all members of the National Youth Brass Band of Wales and many congratulations on some fine concerts. I was delighted to appear with the band and Doctor Robert Childs in 4 concerts which were all very enjoyable. I wish the band every success in the future and hope to work with them again at some time.

I am about to start my summer schools and courses which is how I will be spending most of August.

First it is off to Canford from the 1st - 6th for the percussion masterclass course. Then over to Uppingham School on the 7th for a one day masterclass with the National Youth Wind Orchestra and the RNCM. Finally it is off to Bromsgrove school for the Brass Band Summer School which is a great week for me.

I am looking forward at the end of the month to joining up again with Rob Buckland on sax and Peter Lawson on piano in a concert at Chethams School of Music in Manchester (8.30pm Saturday 28th August) during Chethams Piano Festival.
